Mandalas
Mandalas, meaning “circles” in Sanskrit, are sacred symbols that are used for meditation, prayer, healing and art therapy. Mandala art as therapy and healing has been used for ages by a wide variety of cultures. In the Eastern religions of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Shinto it is used as a map representing deities and shrines. A mandala generally represents the spiritual journey, starting from outside to inner core, through layers. The spiritual circle will help promote mindfulness, focus attention and promote healing. Mandalas have been shown in clinical studies to boost the immune system, reduce stress and pain, lower blood pressure, promote sleep and ease depression. Carl Jung described a mandala as “a representation of the unconscious self”. Mandala Artwork
The healing powers of Chakradance are in the movements and in the mandala art – there is no audience, no analysis and no interpretation – just you, dancing your unique stories, unravelling the vibrational blocks and finding a deep sense of peace. After we have danced we create mandala-art – the mandala holds both your experience, and a healing quality – and by making this picture you have created an image of the strong vibrational medicine you manifested into your energy field during your dance. Mandala Artwork is an expression of your soul. Enjoy the OM Experience of Chakradance Mandala Art.
